Why Should Compressed Air Dry?

When compressed air is cool, water vapor starts to condensation. The resulting liquid water can cause corrosion, pneumatic equipment to abrasion and production processes in pipelines.

Compressed air dryers create a more reliable production environment by controlling the level of humidity in the system. When choosing the correct dryer, the level of the application needs should be taken into consideration.

Refrigerated and Adsorption Dryers

Refrigerated dryers are widely preferred in general industrial applications. It provides the condensation of moisture and the discharge of the system by cooling compressed air. It offers convenient solution for many standard applications with low investment and operating costs.

Adsorption dryers are used in processes where much lower pressure dewholes are required. Moisture is kept by desiccant material in dryer towers. These systems are particularly stand out in precision production and low temperature conditions.

What to Consider When Selection

The inlet air temperature, ambient temperature, working pressure and actual air flow should be evaluated while the dryer capacity is determined. The capacity values specified according to standard conditions may vary in the facility conditions.

A properly dimensional dryer helps maintain the necessary air quality continuously when limiting pressure loss and energy consumption.
